Lighting for Architects & Interior Designers

A showroom to test fixtures in, help turning a concept into a fixture schedule, and pricing against your BOQ — for practices working in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

A lighting concept is only as good as the fitting that ends up in the ceiling. The gap between the two is where most problems happen: a substitute with a different beam, a colour temperature that does not match the next room, a driver that will not dim.

Voltedge works with architects and interior designers to close that gap. You bring the intent; we help you find the fixtures that deliver it, show them to you and your client in the showroom, and price the schedule.

How we can help

Fixture selection
Shortlists by application — recessed, surface, track, linear, pendant, facade — with the wattage, lumen output, beam angle and dimensions from the manufacturer.
Showroom sessions
See fixtures lit side by side at F-7 Markaz, compare finishes and colour temperatures, and bring your client to sign off the choice.
Samples
Where stock allows, we can lend a sample fitting so it can be tried on site before the ceiling is closed.
BOQ and schedule pricing
Send the lighting schedule or BOQ and we price it line by line, flagging items that need an alternative.
Data sheets
We pass on the manufacturer's specification sheets for the fittings you choose, where the manufacturer provides them.
Custom pieces
Linear pendants, rings and profile lighting can be made to size for a specific ceiling or void.

The numbers worth specifying

Lumens, not watts
Watts measure power drawn; lumens measure light delivered. Two 12W downlights can differ widely in output, so schedule by lumens and check lumens per watt.
Beam angle
Narrow beams (15°–24°) for accents and tall ceilings, medium (36°) for general downlighting, wide (60° and above, or a diffuser) for even ambient light.
Colour temperature (CCT)
3000K, 4000K or 6500K — fixed per space, and matched across every fitting in it, including strips in coves.
Colour rendering (CRI)
Above 80 for general use; 90 or higher where colour matters, such as retail, galleries, dressing rooms and food.
IP rating
IP20 indoors, IP44 for bathrooms and covered exteriors, IP65 for exposed exteriors, IP67/68 for in-ground and underwater fittings.
Glare
Deep-recessed and honeycomb fittings keep the source out of view. For offices, ask for low-glare options.
Dimming
State the protocol — DALI, 0-10V or Triac — at specification stage; the driver has to match.

Try an idea before presenting it

The Light Lab shows how downlights, a magnetic track, a linear pendant, cove lighting and a starry ceiling each change the same room, at any colour temperature and time of day. It is a quick way to explain layered lighting to a client.

Questions we are asked

Do you offer trade pricing?

Yes. Tell us you are specifying for a project and we will quote trade pricing against your schedule.

Can you suggest alternatives to a specified fitting?

Yes. Where a specified fitting is unavailable or over budget, we propose alternatives with matching output, beam and colour temperature, and say clearly what differs.

Can my client visit the showroom with me?

Yes — that is what it is for. Message us first so the fittings you want to compare are ready.

Do you provide photometric files?

We share whatever the manufacturer publishes for a fitting. Ask for the specific product and we will confirm what is available.
