About Linear Hanging & Recessed Bar Lights
A linear light is a long, continuous line of light rather than a point. Hung over a desk or island, recessed into a ceiling, or built into a circle or triangle, it gives even light with a clean architectural look.
Suspended or recessed
Suspended linear lights hang on wires and suit offices, meeting tables, kitchen islands and counters. Recessed linear lights sit flush in a false ceiling and draw lines of light across it; they need a slot built into the ceiling. Both can be joined end to end for longer runs.
Made to shape
Circles, rectangles, triangles and hexagon grids are built from the same linear profile. These are made to order, so give us the dimensions of the space and the height it will hang at.
Common questions
How high should a linear light hang over a desk or table?
Roughly 75 to 90 cm above the surface. Over a work desk, keep it high enough to be out of the sight line when seated.
Can the length be customised?
Yes. Linear lights can be made to a length and, for feature pieces, to a shape.
