About Indoor Lighting

Indoor lighting covers everything fixed to or hung from a ceiling or wall inside a building, plus the lamps that stand on a table or floor. This is the full indoor range we supply from our Islamabad showroom, from a single downlight to the fittings for a whole house or office floor.

A room usually needs three kinds of light working together: a general level you can move around in, brighter light where a task is done, and accent light on the things worth noticing. Most lighting that disappoints has only the first.

Which fitting does which job

  • General light: recessed downlights, LED panels, surface-mounted ceiling lights, and linear profiles.
  • Task light: track spots over a worktop, under-cabinet profiles, desk and study lamps.
  • Accent light: adjustable track heads, wall lights, cove strips and cabinet lights.
  • Feature light: chandeliers, pendants, ring lights and fibre optic star ceilings.

Three numbers to check on any indoor fitting

Colour temperature sets the mood: 3000K is warm, 4000K neutral, 6500K cool. CRI tells you how true colours look under the light; above 80 is fine for general use, 90 or more for retail and dressing areas. Lumens, not watts, tell you how much light you get.

Common questions

What is the difference between a downlight and a panel light?

A downlight is a small round or square fitting that gives a pool of light, used in rows. A panel is a larger flat fitting that gives even light over a wide area, common in offices and kitchens.

Can different rooms use different colour temperatures?

Yes, and they usually should. Keep each room consistent, and use warmer light in living spaces and neutral light in working spaces.
