About Pole Lights
A pole light stands two to four metres tall and lights a wider area than a bollard can. Decorative pole and post-top lights are used along driveways, in lawns and courtyards, and around the grounds of housing schemes and commercial sites.
Bollard or pole?
Use bollards to mark a route at ground level. Use poles where you want general light over a lawn, parking area or wide drive, or a formal row along an approach. Taller poles can be spaced further apart.
Common questions
How far apart should garden poles be?
Roughly three to four times their height, adjusted for the light output.
Do pole lights need a foundation?
Yes. A concrete base with anchor bolts, sized to the pole height.
