About Street Lights
LED street lights mount on a pole arm and throw a long, controlled beam along a road. They are used on streets in housing schemes, in car parks, around factories and on private roads.
What to specify
- Wattage and lumen output to suit the pole height and road width.
- Pole spacing — roughly three to four times the mounting height.
- IP65 or higher, and a body designed to shed heat.
- Cool or neutral white for visibility.
Common questions
What wattage street light for a 7 m pole?
It depends on the road width and the light level wanted. Give us the pole height and spacing and we will suggest a fitting.
Should I choose mains or solar street lights?
Mains where a supply exists and steady light is needed all night; solar where cabling is costly or absent.
