Blue Area is Islamabad's central business district: office floors, bank branches, showrooms and restaurants in multi-storey plazas along Jinnah Avenue, with New Blue Area extending it further west. The lighting brief there is almost always commercial — long working hours, many fittings of the same type, and a building front that has to be seen at night.
Our showroom in F-7 Markaz is a short drive away, so fit-out teams can see fittings before specifying them and collect or receive stock quickly.
Lighting an office floor
- Open-plan and workstations
- Even, low-glare light at 4000K from LED panels or suspended linear lights. Panels come in versions for T-grid, clip-in (Dampa) and surface mounting, so they suit whichever ceiling the building has.
- Corridors, lifts and washrooms
- Downlights on a regular grid, with IP44-rated fittings in wet areas.
- Reception and boardrooms
- Warmer, layered light: a feature pendant or ring light, cove lighting, and dimmable downlights.
- Control
- DALI or 0-10V dimming where daylight or meeting use calls for it — specified at the start so the drivers match.
Ground-floor shops and restaurants
Street-level units need light that sells: track spots with a high colour rendering index on merchandise, brighter light at the shopfront than deeper inside, and for restaurants, warm dimmable pendants and wall lights. Signage and canopy lighting draws people in from the pavement.
The building front
Plazas on Jinnah Avenue are seen from a distance at night. Linear wall washers and facade lights trace the structure, narrow-beam spots pick out columns and the entrance, and RGBW or pixel lighting with a DMX controller adds colour for events. Everything outside must be IP65 or higher.
