About Solar Wall Lights
Solar wall lights fix to a wall with two screws and need no wiring at all. They are a quick way to light a boundary wall, a side passage or a terrace.
Placing them
Mount them on a wall that faces the sun for much of the day, at around two metres. Many have a motion sensor, which makes them useful as security lighting on side passages and gates.
Common questions
Do solar wall lights work on a shaded wall?
Poorly. They need direct sun on the panel to charge.
Are they bright enough for security?
Motion-sensing models give a strong burst of light when triggered, which suits passages and gates.
