Where battens make sense
Use them where function matters more than appearance and the ceiling is a bare slab. For spaces people see — offices, shops, homes — panels, linear lights or profiles give a better finish.

Can a batten replace an old tube light fitting?
Yes. An LED batten is a complete fitting and fixes in the same position, using less power.
Cool white or warm white for a garage?
Cool or neutral white gives the clearest working light.
